I've donloaded the latest version of A3D, followed the steps for CS3 but it does not work.
I can't see in the Components Panel anything.
Can you help me with this problem?

Hey there,

I was having trouble with this too. Here's what I did to get it working:

1. Unpack the files provided with Alternativa3D. Copy the component folder to the Flash "en\Configuration\Components" folder. For example:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\en\Configuration\Components

The FP9 version folder might look like this, with the 3 .SWC files inside it:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\en\Configuration\Components\Alternativa3D FP9

Alternatively, you can place it under your Application Data folder:
Vista: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CS3\en\Configuration\Components
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data

2. Open Flash CS3. Open the Component panel (Window > Component), and reload it (in the palette; Menu Button > Reload). The new component should appear. From there, simply drag it into your library and follow this simple example to ensure that Alternativa3D works.

Good luck!

I just tried this and it worked. I don't use CS3 myself any longer, but I have a few friends who stubbornly cling to it and won't upgrade, so if they ever run into this problem, I know where to refer them. Thanks.
