The links in the first page i dont know what they're about but need kinda special premissions it seems.i cannot log in with my current account, whats the deal? what is that about?Sorry to post this in the russian forum.
The models have nothing to do with realtime rendering of 3d, whitch is the main perpose of alternativa technology!
But about the actionscript code involved in the first link i have some ideas
The second one is an Ajax map vewier.
Just like google and yahoo map APIs, but i am sure in a much easier way.
Looking deep at the first link, i think it is not more than a movieclip poulated by images retrieved from maybe an xml database.
You know for a client, Iran's national carpet exhibition i had to come up with the same effect some how, i just:
waited for each image to be loaded from the xml file,
added them to an sprite instance, positioned based on the information in the xml file
and added some controll for the application.
If someone came up with a more object oriented practice to create these effects please inform me too!
